I chose to attend USC Annenberg because of the community. My peers and professors are all so passionate, inquisitive, and driven, and I’m grateful to be a part of a network of individuals who have a love for storytelling and who strive to create positive change. Meet Ambassador Martina

Major: Public Relations

Hometown: Rome, Italy/Miami, FL

Graduation Year: 2025

The more I looked into the PR program and the school itself, the more I realized that Annenberg truly is at the top of innovation. Resources like the Media Center, the Adobe Digital Lounge, and the Annenberg student organizations, really caught my attention as I saw the possibility of academic, professional, and personal growth here at Annenberg. I also love that Annenberg is a smaller, tight knit community within the large school that is USC, so making connections and supporting one another is the norm.

What I love about USC Annenberg goes beyond just the classes. The possibilities and experiences offered through guest speakers, learning from professionals, and internship opportunities are unmatched. But my favorite part of being a Annenberg student is the camaraderie among students and professors. Since the first day of my freshman year, I have felt love and compassion from the Annenberg community.

I transferred to Annenberg during my freshman year because I was seeking a major that would allow me to explore and discover my professional interests. Through Annenberg, I have learned how to bring a worldly view to any sort of communication as well as critical analysis skills. Furthermore, the professors and faculty at Annenberg are more supportive and caring than I ever could have imagined. All of my academic and professional goals within Annenberg are encouraged and celebrated, inspiring me to be a better student every day.

Meet Nya Manneh

Major: Communication

Hometown: Plymouth, MN

Graduation Year: 2025

I knew USC Annenberg was perfect for me because of my time interacting with the Annenberg community. While I was very unsure of what I wanted to do when I came to USC, I've been able to meet so many students and professors who have helped me see the many ways I could get involved in my many interests within the school. I found some of my first friends in our classes that we shared, and each professor I've had is adamant about helping students improve and learn inside and outside the classroom. I've been so lucky to have been able to join the ACCSA or write stories for the Media Center and Daily Trojan. These experiences and the diverse range of classes I've been able to take while here have helped me learn more about what kinds of stories I want to tell and have given me the skills I need to make a difference with my work.
